Unit Band 24
The photos below are of the USS Enterprise (CV6) "Hellcats" band of 1941 - 1944. On December 7, 1941 this band was a day or two out of Pearl Harbor aboard an ammunition ship. Note: prior to the Enterprise leaving Pearl Harbor for refit in Bremerton, Washington all members were raised to Petty Officer First Class, and Bandmaster Ellis was made Chief. Note: We apologize in advance for any names misspelled. Thanks to Jim Boatner for these photos.
